Most large directories import every licensed clinician from public registries, add reviews, and sell ranking or ads. Listing means almost nothing because everyone is listed.
What a directory should verify
- Active license against the national registry
- Board certification
- Practice standards: does the clinician follow the society guidelines?
- Conflicts of interest: does the practice sell supplements, peptides, or compounded drugs?
- Ongoing checks, not a one-time import
