Why getting Featured on DoctorDirectory.ai helps patients find you

A directory marketed every day, a labeled spot at the front of every page you match, and vetting that gives patients a reason to trust you. Here is what Featured does, and what no one can promise.

If you are a clinician thinking about a Featured listing on DoctorDirectory.ai, you probably want to know two things. Will it help patients find me? And is it worth it compared with everything else I could spend on marketing?

This post answers both, plainly. It explains who markets DoctorDirectory.ai and how, what a Featured listing actually gets you, why vetting makes that placement worth more, and what we can and cannot promise. Short version: claiming your profile is free, vetting is free and cannot be bought, and Featured is an optional upgrade that puts you in the labeled spot at the front of every page you match.

A directory that is marketed every day

A directory listing only helps if patients can find the directory. That is the part most listings skip, and it is where DoctorDirectory.ai is different.

DoctorDirectory.ai is marketed every day by DocFluence, an AI marketing platform. DocFluence handles the steady, unglamorous work that helps a website get found:

  • Articles on conditions, credentials, and how to choose a doctor, written for patients in plain language
  • Podcast episodes on The DoctorDirectory.ai Podcast, made from those articles
  • Social posts that bring readers back to the site
  • Search-optimized pages for specialties, conditions, states, and cities
  • Structured data that helps search engines read each profile and page correctly
  • Sitemaps that help Google discover every eligible page

The site is built to compete with the big doctor directories and to outrank them over time. That is a goal we work toward every day, not a claim that we have already won. The big directories have had a long head start. What we bring is a different model and daily, consistent effort behind it.

Every listed clinician on DoctorDirectory.ai has a verified profile that appears in search results, on the map, and on the city and specialty pages they match. Featured adds a few things on top.

The labeled spot at the front

Featured clinicians are shown in a labeled Featured block at the front of every search, city, and specialty page they match. So if you are a Featured cardiologist in Ohio, you appear at the front of matching cardiology searches, city pages, and state pages. When several clinicians are Featured for the same page, they are rotated fairly so everyone gets a turn.

Clearly labeled, always

Featured placement is always marked as Featured. Patients can tell the difference between a paid placement and a regular result, which keeps the whole directory honest.

Deeper analytics

Featured clinicians get in-depth analytics. Beyond impressions and clicks, you can see which of your links patients follow: your website, your social profiles, and your phone number.

Everything in Standard

Featured includes everything in the Standard listing: your verified profile with all trust signals, a full written profile with sources that you can edit, appointment requests, analytics, and a certified badge for your own website that links back to your profile.

Why vetting makes the spot worth more

A front-of-page spot on a site full of unvetted listings does not mean much. A front-of-page spot on a site where every clinician has been checked tells patients something.

Before anyone appears on DoctorDirectory.ai, we:

  • Verify the license against official records
  • Check board certifications
  • Collect a signed, dated attestation that the clinician follows current clinical guidelines
  • Screen the clinician's public pages and the web for red flags, such as selling unproven products

Patients see these facts on your profile, with dates. That is why a Featured spot here carries trust: patients know everyone on the page passed the same checks, and payment played no part in passing them. Read the full process on how we vet.

No reviews, no star ratings

DoctorDirectory.ai has no patient reviews and no star ratings, anywhere. That is a choice, and it is one of the main reasons clinicians join.

Star ratings mostly measure parking and wait times. They can be faked, bought, or used to settle a grudge, and privacy law keeps you from answering back. On our site, nobody can leave a one-star review under your Featured listing, because there are no reviews to leave. Your profile is a credential, not a comment thread. Our post on online reputation management for doctors explains why this protects you.

Not pay to play

We want to be very clear about what money does and does not do here.

  • Claiming your profile is free.
  • Vetting is free and cannot be bought. Paying never changes whether you pass.
  • Regular results are not for sale. Featured placement is labeled and separate. It never changes the order of regular results.
  • No sponsor or drug company influences who is listed or how they rank.

Featured buys a labeled spot in front of patients. It does not buy a credential, and it does not buy a ranking among regular results. You can read more on our mission page.

What the early data shows

We do not want to oversell, so here is exactly what we can share. In Google Search Console data for the last 90 days (October 2026), several Featured clinicians' DoctorDirectory.ai profiles already appear on the first page of Google for searches of their own name. One shows at position 1. Others show at positions 2, 3, 4, and 7 to 10.

A few honest notes about that:

  • These are searches for the clinicians' own names, which are easier to win than broad searches like "cardiologist near me."
  • Results vary by clinician, by location, and over time.
  • Google decides rankings, and no one can guarantee a position. Anyone who promises you the first spot on Google is promising something they do not control.

That last point is a strength, not a weakness. We promise the work: a verified, well-built profile, on a site that is marketed every day, with structured data and sitemaps done right. We do not promise a fake guarantee.

How Featured fits with your other marketing

A Featured listing is not a replacement for your own website or your Google Business Profile. It works alongside them. Your profile links to your website, and the certified badge on your website links back to your profile. Each one supports the other, and patients who find you in either place see the same verified facts.

It is also simple. There is no ad campaign to manage, no bids to watch, and no reviews to chase. You keep your profile current from your dashboard, and the marketing behind the site keeps running every day whether you log in or not.

Who Featured is a good fit for

Featured tends to make the most sense if you:

  • Are building a new practice or adding a new location
  • Have open appointment slots and want more new patients
  • Practice in a specialty where patients compare options carefully, like cardiology, endocrinology, or obesity medicine
  • Offer telehealth and want patients across your licensed states to find you
  • Want your name search to show a trusted, verified page about you

If your schedule is full for months, a Standard listing may be all you need. That is fine. Featured is optional.

Pricing and how to get Featured

Here is what it costs during launch:

  • Claiming your profile: free
  • Vetting: free
  • Standard listing: $50 a month
  • Featured listing: $200 a month

These are launch prices, and they will go up. Clinicians who join now keep their price for as long as they stay listed. Featured spots are capped per city and specialty, so an open spot in your area today may not be open later.

To get started:

  1. Check if you are already listed. Many clinicians already have a profile waiting to be claimed.
  2. Claim your profile and complete vetting. Both are free.
  3. Choose Standard or Featured. Already listed? Upgrade from your dashboard.

You can compare both plans on our page for clinicians. Your card is charged only after you are approved.

Common questions

What does Featured mean on DoctorDirectory.ai?

Featured clinicians appear in a labeled Featured block at the front of the search, city, and specialty pages they match. When several clinicians are Featured for the same page, they rotate fairly.

Does paying for Featured help me pass vetting?

No. Vetting is free and the same for everyone. Payment never changes whether you pass, and Featured never changes the order of regular results.

Will a Featured listing put me on the first page of Google?

No one can promise that, because Google decides rankings. Some Featured clinicians' profiles already appear on the first page of Google for their own names, but results vary. What we promise is the work behind every profile.

How much does Featured cost?

Featured is $200 a month at launch pricing, and Standard is $50 a month. Claiming your profile and vetting are free. Clinicians who join now keep their price while they stay listed.

Can patients leave reviews on my Featured profile?

No. DoctorDirectory.ai has no patient reviews and no star ratings on any profile. Patients see your verified credentials instead.

Can I switch from Standard to Featured later?

Yes. You can upgrade from your dashboard at any time, as long as a Featured spot is open where you practice.

Why this matters

Evidence-based, science-based, vetted physicians are how trust in medicine gets rebuilt. A directory that verifies them is how patients find them.

DoctorDirectory.ai is different on purpose. Every clinician is verified against the federal license registry, screened across their website, social accounts, board actions, and news, and signs a dated attestation to the major society guidelines that renews every year. Websites are re-checked monthly and listings are audited at random. Nothing a clinician or advertiser pays for changes who passes or who ranks. And there are no patient reviews to buy, bulk-post, or weaponize. That is what a vetted directory looks like, and it is what a healthcare system running low on trust needs more of.

For patients

Find the right doctor, then tell someone.

Search by condition and city. Every result is licensed, board-certified, and on record for evidence-based care. If a friend or family member is choosing a doctor, send them here before they read a single star rating. The more people who expect this standard, the more clinicians will meet it.

For clinicians and the medical community

Vetting and guardrails are how we earn trust back.

A license proves training. It does not tell a patient who sells peptides, who tells families to skip vaccines, or who quietly lost a license in another state. Directories that verify, attest, re-check, and remove are the guardrails the profession has been missing. If you practice from the evidence, put your name to it where patients can see it, and ask your colleagues to do the same.
